This policy explains what happens to your information when you visit Love Shayari at loveshayari1.com. We have tried to describe what this website actually does, rather than list every technology a website might theoretically use. If anything here is unclear, email us at [email protected].
The short version: you can read every page on this site without giving us anything. We do not ask you to register, we do not run advertising or analytics at present, and the copy, share, and download buttons work entirely inside your own browser.
Information you choose to give us
Comments. Most of our shayari pages allow comments. When you leave one, the form collects the name, email address, and optional website you type in. WordPress also records your IP address and browser user-agent string at the moment of submission, which helps us detect spam. Your name and comment become publicly visible if the comment is approved; your email address and IP address are not published.
Email. If you write to us, we keep your message and address for as long as needed to deal with the matter and to keep a record of any correction or takedown request.
Information collected automatically
Like effectively every website, our hosting provider keeps server access logs. These typically record the requesting IP address, the page requested, the time of the request, the referring page, and the browser user-agent. We use these only for security and to diagnose faults, and we do not use them to build a profile of you.
Cookies
- Comment cookies. If you leave a comment and tick the box to save your details, WordPress stores your name, email, and website in cookies on your device so you do not have to retype them. These are for your convenience and last up to one year. You can decline them by leaving the box unticked, or clear them in your browser at any time.
- Caching. This site uses LiteSpeed Cache to serve pages faster. It may set a technical cookie to determine whether you should be served a cached copy of a page. It does not track you across sites.
- We do not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies of our own.
Avatars (Gravatar)
When a comment is displayed, this site shows an avatar image next to it using the Gravatar service, operated by Automattic. To fetch that image, an anonymised (hashed) version of your email address is sent to Gravatar. This only happens if you leave a comment. Gravatar has its own privacy policy, which we do not control.
Copy, share, and download buttons
Each verse has buttons to copy the text, share it, or download it as an image. These run entirely in your browser using your device’s own clipboard, share sheet, and canvas. Nothing about which verse you copied, shared, or saved is transmitted to us or recorded anywhere on our side. If you use the share button to send a verse to WhatsApp, Telegram, X, or Facebook, you leave our site and that platform’s own privacy policy takes over.
Analytics
At the time of writing, this site runs no analytics package — there is no Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Facebook Pixel, or comparable script on any page. If we add analytics in future, we will update this policy and name the provider here before or at the time it goes live.
Advertising
At the time of writing, this site displays no third-party advertising and serves no ad-network code.
If we introduce advertising in future, third-party vendors — including Google — may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalised advertising through Google Ads Settings, or opt out of a broader set of vendors at aboutads.info. This paragraph is stated in advance so you know what to expect; it does not describe anything currently running on the site.
Links to other websites
Some pages link out to other sites. We have no control over their content or privacy practices, and this policy does not apply once you leave loveshayari1.com. We would encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit from here.
Children
This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through a comment, contact us and we will remove it.
How long we keep things
Approved comments and their metadata are kept indefinitely so that conversations on a page remain readable, unless you ask us to remove them. Comments identified as spam are deleted periodically. Server logs are retained by our host for a limited period according to their own schedule.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. In practice, for almost every visitor, the answer is that we hold nothing at all — the only personal data we normally hold belongs to people who have left a comment or emailed us. To make a request, email [email protected] from the address concerned and we will action it.
Security
This site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection. We take reasonable steps to protect the limited information we hold, though no method of transmission or storage online can be guaranteed completely secure.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will revise the date at the top of the page. Material changes — such as introducing advertising or analytics — will be described explicitly rather than folded in quietly.
Questions about any of the above can go to [email protected], or via our contact page.
